From the opening, smoky incense and sacred palo santo set a mystical atmosphere. The heart brightens with subtle floral nuances, powdery violet and delicate rose, softening the depth of the fragrance. Then come the powerful resins, labdanum, olibanum, and incense resin, enriched by cade and guaiac wood, anchoring the scent in an elegant and spiritual darkness. The trail is dense, resonating like a liturgical chant within a sleeping cathedral.

It is a beautiful scent, and the name fits perfectly. First, the incense and woody notes come through. Then I can smell the violet and it creates a beautiful combination of woody incense and floral notes. After that, more woody notes come through and the fragrance settles on the woody and incense notes. I don’t notice any rose notes, and the floral notes disappear while it dries down. It’s a very pretty incense and wood centric fragrance. The name fits especially well because it feels like walking through a dimly lit church while a midnight mass is happening. It’s a beautiful, mysterious and almost mournful scent. You get the Image of standing in an abandoned church at midnight, its very silent and you cant see anyone but a mass is in process and you feel as if the benches are filled by something you cant see. It feels sacred and holy, yet also mournful
